Most recently Azul was the Creative Director of Grand Performances... contracted to rebrand the longest running presenter of free global performing arts in Los Angeles. The 2021 Grand Performances’ 35th summer season was the most attended in the organization's history. 

Before landing at GP in 2019, Azul was the Programs Manager of Grand Park, laying the framework for multicultural and multi-generational programming. It was here he curated the largest west coast public NYE & 4th of July celebrations as well as the monthly House music series Sunday Sessions + the year-round free community Health and wellness programming in Downtown Los Angeles. 

Azul developed national acclaim through his soulful uptempo DJ sets... Musically his performances reflect his varied upbringing and experiences, they run the gamut from Afro latino dance tracks to hip- house club beats, and electrontronica edits. 

Azul is a prominent figure on the LA music scene being involved in some of LA's most successful club events over the last 20yrs as a Dj & Host. One honorable mention would be the infamous international Do Over party in its 17th season, who this past June... were named the Redbull's  Culture Clash LA Champions!
